Our read

Cognivance is $5 cheaper and caffeine-free, which is the right choice if you already drink coffee. But its 640 mg proprietary blend makes the doses unknowable, and an unknowable dose can't be compared with a trial. If you want caffeine-free, we'd buy single-ingredient bacopa and theanine separately rather than either of these.

That recommendation costs us a sale. It is the same conclusion we reached before Synaptril existed.

How we keep research and commerce apart

Grades come first

Evidence grades are set on the ingredient page before any product is scored against them.

Our own products lose

Where our formula is underdosed, we say so on the product page, in the same table.

Disclosure at the point of claim

Ownership is disclosed next to the product, not only in the footer.
